Team Delight at SLSGB National Youth Pool Championships 2019

On the 27th April 2019, members of South Worcester Lifesaving and Lifeguard Club took part in the National Surf Lifesaving GB Youth Pool Championships which was contested in the Cardiff International Pool.


The event which was over the course of a whole day consisted of multiple Lifesaving events which members have been training for the previous months which include Manikin Tow, Obstacle race, Rescue Medley, Manikin Carry, Super Lifesaver event and other competitive races.



South Worcester members which were competing for the Club were, Clara Forson, Lara Harding, Mia Robins, Ellen Forson, Amy Weston, Cameron Leech and Alex Jackson South Worcester member competing for Crawley. The event saw all involved compete against members of other Surf Lifesaving GB affiliated teams across the country and also against individuals within a similar age range.


The event brought reward to all team members via a vast array of PB's across the whole spectrum of Lifesaving events which is a great achievement for all, and shows the reward for all of the hard work all team members are demonstrating. Amy Weston was able to obtain a collection of medals from the event which included two Bronze Medals (Manikin Tow with Fins & Obstacle), a Silver in the Super Lifesaver and two Gold Medals ( Rescue Medley & Manikin Carry).



Well would like to congratulate all who competed at the event as the competition team move forward and continue to train for the next Lifesaving Competition.
