On the 27th May 2019, South Worcester Lifesaving & Lifeguard Club in conjunction with Lancaster Area Search and Rescue Assets provided medical safety cover for the annual Pershore Carnival.
The event run throughout the Bank Holiday Monday and safety cover was provided for duration of the event. Event safety Cover was provided by South Worcester Lifesaving & Lifeguard Club First Responders & First Aiders.
On the day, members provided Lifesaving interventions to an Anaphylactic patient to prevent further deterioration in the patients condition alongside working with the Emergency Services. We also assisted with other minor injuries which members of the public had sustained on the day.
Alongside this we also had Fundraising via a tombola stand throughout the day, which was run by our fundraising volunteers and club members who do a wonderful job undertaking fundraising at our events. As a result of their hard work they raised £203.00.
