The South Worcester Lifesaving Club's Flood
Rescue Unit has been recognised in the Ruth
Lee Ltd 2019 Volunteer Hero Awards.
As a result of which they are donating two new
training manikins to the team. We will soon be
receiving a 20Kg SAR manikin and a Full Size
Airway Management Manikin. These will be
used not just by the flood team but also by other club members as they
undergo open water training and first aid training.
Our current Ruth Lee Rescue Manikin is known as Nemo ….. He has a habit of
getting injured in remote places, meaning we regularly have to go and find
him!! We have broken the news to him that he will soon be joined by his little sis and
big brother and he can’t wait to teach them his bad habits and get up to lots
more “mis-adventures” with them.
Massive thanks to Ruth Lee Ltd, support like this helps us continue with the
work we are doing as a Club, developing the rescuers of the future, providing
safety cover at community events and as a Surf Life Saving GB flood team.
